Dear Father, I just want to pray for our dear Pastor Jeff. Thank You for his life for you, for your grace and strength and your calling on him, and especially his love for us. It's not easy for him and the other pastors to lead this flock, but I pray in Jesus' name that You strengthen him with all the power that You make available to us. Add on to our dear pastors Your wisdom, courage, anointing and skill and heart to disciple Your people. Thank You for their lives and their love for You and Your people. Continue to increase their joy and strength and their leadership capacities.
just finished listening to your sermon (shirley sent it over). thank you so much for preaching the word with boldness. the Holy Spirit stirred my heart through your words and prayer.
Was a powerful service on sun. [sermon + response time. What makes a powerful service? its not the preacher, or music, or atmosphere.
Its a transformed life and mind.
thank you Ps jeff for making all these possible.. and sharing your hearts out like what you did. God bless you with Wisdom, Courage and Annointing to do his work in transforming lives. We love you.
Thank you for blogging about wisdom, courage, anointing and skill and heart.
I find that the area I'm most lacking in is wisdom, and I think that's because I don not have in depth understanding of the Word of God.
There's a topic which is about whether baptism is necessary for salvation that i still can't really make sense from the Word.
I know from your church that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works , so that no man can boast, and many verses in the Bible point to that.Hence, this would mean that baptism would not be necessary as long as you believe and have faith that Christ died for your sins.
However, there is one verse that Peter said which is supported by some churches that baptism is necessary for salvation, and that is from Acts 2:38 - which Peter said: Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. So it is usually intepreted as you not only have to beleive and repent, but also be baptised, in order for your sins to be forgiven, and hence receive salvation.
I think my qn may possibly launch into a lengthy discussion, but could you pls help me make sense of this verse in the best and most concise way you can. I have tried reading some bible commentaries and asked around, but so far I have not received an enlightening explanation. Pls help, thanks alot! You can email me at kainrudolf@yahoo.fr if it's not possible to answer this qn on your blog.

Confused
Hi Win, I noted that you are from NG14. Perhaps you can talk to me when you see me in church. That would be easier than writing emails for me...
Glad that you are learning and asking good question!
