Gastric Flu

Since last Saturday, I had been having tummy problem. Initially, I thought it was a case of eating too much chilli. My dad-in-law prepared for me a whole bowl of chilli pad with garlic and soya sauce. As far as I am concern, this will make almost any food taste good.

My stomach gave me a lot of problem on Saturday night and almost the whole of Sunday. I tried to calm my tummy by sticking to fruits, milk and cereal, salads and some lighter food. However, it was to no avail.

This lasted until early this morning when I was awoken by the stirring in my tummy and had to make a break for the toilet.

Then it occurred to me that other than prayer, it may be good for me to visit a doctor as well. I went to see Doctor Lee this morning and he diagnosed that I had a case of gastric flu. And he told me that I should not drink milk, eat fruits or salads!! No wonder my gastric flu got worse over the past two days.

With the new really yucky medicine and prayers, me and my stomach shall return!

The horrible medicine... it says Kaolin & Morphine Mixture!

I just muttered a short prayer for you. Get well soon! Anyway, on a side note, i thot morphine is suppose to be a enjoyable kind of medicine/drug? It doesn't sound so bad what.

Thanks Zac... seems to be going up and down... the whole gastric flu thing :(

Perhaps morphine is added because the other stuff tastes really bad and morphine will at least give me some high.

Hey Andrew, thanks for praying... appreciate that.

Hi Danny, Andrew meant well. Don't take it in the wrong way :)

As for Calvinism, it is the theological understanding taken after John Calvin. There are a lot of stuff you can read over the internet. Do check it out bro.

they seem to say that God has already predestined whether you're saved or not. that Jesus didn't die for everyone, but only a selected few.

and that the opportunity of salvation isn't for everyone, but only those whom he has already predestined and elected to be saved, will be saved.

i know andrew meant well, but its still mockery of the gift of the spirit. its just.. wrong?

And have whispered a prayer for you too. :)

Thanks Yeu Ann. Apprecaite the care.

Hi Danny, in my opinion and knowing Andrew, no mockery at all...

The view that you stated could be taken in a fatalistic way. Whilst it is true, it needs to be taken in balance with other factors as well (2 Pet 3:9). For example, human cannot determine who is save or not save.

Pre-believers can also use this as a fact that they are not fated to have a relationship with Jesus. If that is true, then would it not be unfair for them to be condemn.

It ia good thing that you are reading all these stuff. Read more and then you can come out with a more comprehensive understanding on this topic.
