Pastor Simon's Favourite Song

I believe this is presently Pastor Simon's favourite song. Since he heard Hope Singapore presented it (Nel sang it) in the August GC, he had been talking about this song. I have heard him made mention about this song on at least 2 occasions.

Whatever the case, this is a really powerful song. Win our cities to win our world!

Hello,

I hope you don't mind answering a couple of questions I am asking all believers everywhere;

Do you believe that God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to start a new religion called Christianity?

And if yes. Where is the text in the bible that supports the popular Christian belief that God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to start a new religion called Christianity?

Hi, check out the gospel (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John) of the bible and it will tell you that God sent Jesus to our world very clearly :)

Hi Jeff,

The gospel also says that salvation is giving to those that repent of their sin.

Consider;

Mark 2:17
Luke 13:1-9
Acts 3:19-20
Acts 17:24-31
2 Corinthians 7:10

My intentions are completely solicitous to denominations and grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The question I asked is meant to cause controversy the same way Jesus shook up the religious of His time.

Hi Bruce, got your drift in your question now.

You are quite right to say that Jesus is not here to start a religion. Religion kills.

Jesus is here to help man a right relationship with God. And a relationship with God thrills!

In regards to M.A.C. comments, I think he is trying to say that these days the Christian faith has been institutionalised by churches.

Did I got you right M.A.C. or Bruce? :)

Hi andrewong2024,

It is not only these days but since the beginning of the church. Let us not forget the dark ages when whole peoples were destroyed by the Roman Catholic church in the name of God.

The avails of prostitution were used to build the church. Jews were killed for their wealth. Two popes reigned one in Rome and one in France. These popes made a mockery of the belief in Christ.

The word of God was preserved during this time in Northern Scotland on an island called Iona through a secret society called the Culdees. Here a man named Columba turned his back on wealth and started a bible school that would be the evangelistic center for the spread of the true gospel for over 700 years.

Revelation talks of seven churches and of those seven only two are above the reproach of God. The Persecuted Church and The Faithful Church have walked hand in hand to insure the word of God throughout history.

The affect of denominational divergence within the church today is as harmful as was the inquisitions of the dark ages. We are an enlightened generation of believers yet we allow this kind of wholesale madness to continue.

Yup agree with you M.A.C.

I guess we can only make that right difference in the sphere of influence that He has placed us in which I see that you're doing so.

Keep up the good work =)
