Get The Message Out!

After completing 7 rounds of preaching this weekend, my mind is just filled with the mental picture of the Bridge Diagram. It is such a simple and powerful diagram. It can be drew by almost anyone and understood by anyone.

At the end of the Filipino service, one brother actually asked me for the diagram. This is my first ever request to have one of my drawings! It is a miracle.

But the real miracle is really the message in the drawing. It is indeed a life transforming and eternity turning diagram.

Let’s get this message out!

Let’s get it out in the next two weeks in all our services. For the next two weeks, we will be having special services in the Sunday morning services. I am praying and fasting together with you for a great harvest! Pray for me as well for God's anointing as I preach in all these services.

On next Sunday, we will be having our 11th Filipino anniversary. It is going to be blast as we remember the faithfulness of God and the power of His message.

Let’s get the message out!

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Youth & Mandarin Camps

After the Adults Camp in Shah Alam, I returned and spent an evening at the youth camp. The camp was held in Downtown East. The place was really hip, comfortable and extremely conducive for learning.

I shared about the important qualities of leadership that will bring about growth. There was both a balance focus on character development as well as God’s endowment for leadership. I ministered quite intentionally to the male leaders among us. They are our future leaders. Then the leaders and I spent time ministering to the people after the teaching.

From the report given to me, many of our youth repented from specific areas that needed a turnaround. Many also responded to having a bigger and more extended vision for their lives beyond their student days. It was most encouraging for me to hear these stories from the ground up! God is indeed moving in our youth group.

Then on early Thursday morning, I and some other Mandarin leaders drove up to Malacca for our Mandarin camp. We covered around 250km in around 3 hours with a tea break in between.

The theme was “A Visionary Church”. It was most challenging for me to teach 4 lessons in my limited Mandarin ability. Anyhow, I trust that God will still use beyond my natural ability to speak straight into the hearts of the people.

Then on Friday night, God really did show up in a big way! After my teaching, we spent extended time ministering to the people. I prayed for James and his team and then in turn, commissioned them to go and minister to their flock. And God used them so very greatly.

Many got their life vision clarified and expanded. One couple was challenged to move their lives out of their comfort zone through a prophetic picture of a beautiful ship that did not sail beyond the quay. As beautiful as it was, it was not fulfilling its full potential that the maker has intended.

Tears of joy and repentance flowed freely as the leaders ministered in the power and love of the Holy Spirit. It was very much like the book of Acts all over again! Then James challenged his team to build the biggest and strongest Mandarin church in our Movement so that we can play a pivotal role in redeeming the global Mandarin speaking community.

At the end of these camp rampages, I have learnt and re-learnt a powerful lesson. God longs to minister to His people. It is not about me but about how God loves His people and how He desires to meet the needs of His people.

Praise God and Praise God!

Probably The Best Fish Porridge In Singapore!

Believe it or not, I love Fish Porridge. Why? Because of the fish and the soup! And the chilly that goes so very well with it too.

But then again, there are fish porridge and there are some really good fish porridge. I have wanted to try this restaurant for its famous Teochew food. It is quite highly recommended. And while ordering the dishes, we accidentally order fish porridge instead of plain porridge.

So when the two big bowl of fish porridges came, we were upset with the mistakes that we made. But God is able to turn bad things out for our good! (spiritualising things here) The fish porridges were among the best, if not the best that I have tasted.

The fish was really fresh. The soup is so sweet. I bet they use Rock Sugar as part of the ingredients. The chilly sauce was really unique and nice. I have 3 servings of that stuff for every bowl of fish porridge.

And when the bill came, I was almost knocked off my chair. It costs me only $3 per bowl! It’s almost too good to be true!

This place also serves fantastic duck and tau pok! The peanuts are very special too. I have yet to try the other more expensive dishes. Perhaps you can check the out and recommend some to me.

The reason why it is so reasonably priced could be due to the fact that it is embedded right in the middle of the heartlands. It is also open 24-7.

Those of you who stay in Bukit Batok area should really try it. The rest of you, either you move house or just take a cab (or drive) to get there. The latter suggestion seems more logical…

The address is

Adults Camp 2008 (ACTSperience God!)

Wow! What a camp!

I have just come back from our Adults Camp in Shah Alam. There are so many blessings from this camp.

I will just share a few…

One distinct thing in this camp is the yearning in many hearts to seek God. Straight from Day 1, the hunger and the desire fro God is so evident. Many people were worshipping and praying with all their hearts. God will surely bless when we have hearts as such.

The next blessing is the closeness in the fellowship that I could sense. The time in KL city was really fun. Many people told me that it have been a long time that they enjoyed themselves so thoroughly with their care groups.

Mark & Sarah’s BGR testimony was superb. I shall never forget the honesty and humor and openness in it all. It was such a blessing!

Next, Pastor Simon’s altar call was really powerful. The presence of God is so tangible. Even not for time constraint, we could have gone on for hours.

Lastly, the P&W was madness! I cannot recall the last time I saw our adults praise and worship God as fervently and in such a energetic way as we did. The energy level was incredible. We could have light up the whole of Malaysia with the amount of energy in the room! We rock!

This is also a camp where I expend the most energy. It is just wonderful to spend time with so many people praising and worshipping God.

Thanks all for making this camp a crowning glory for Jesus! Our adults group and the whole church is certainly moving forward with Jesus. Great Kingdom work awaits us all.

Please share your blessings with me and the rest of the people as well. I will surely forward all your testimonies to our camp committee to encourage them as well!

Lessons Learnt From 31 May / 1 June Sermon

It was suggested that I create a page for people to share their learning from the weekend's sermon.

This is such that we can all share testmonies of how the WOG has blessed us as well as give us ideas on how we can put these principles into practice in our lives.

I hope this will bless us further. Remember... it is when we put God's Word into practice that we will be blessed (not only when we hear them)

John 13:17
Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
