A Pastoral Church Camp In South Africa

For 2008, Hope Johannesburg will be focusing on the fundamentals of outreach, discipleship and shepherding. To build the church stronger and bigger, we need to have these basics in place. Thus, for the camp, we have chosen the theme of a pastoral (or shephering) church.

I was there to teach some lessons but more importantly, to train the local leaders on leading, training and doing ministry. It was an exciting camp where many had learnt much. Four of our members were spirit baptized while five experienced water baptism as well during the camp.

I am very blessed to be able to spend these life transforming moments with our Hope Joburg church.

The camp was held is a valley where there were hills and lots of greenery. The sight was most magnificent.

As I had often spoken about Africans' unique style of Zulu praise and worship, I recorded this short video clip to share with us all.

It’s rather cool!
