Prayer - Dao Gao

Last Sunday, we had a very wonderful presentation on the power of prayer. Tian Loong shared his testimony two weeks ago about his challenges at work. He shared about how he got into trouble in his work and was facing an impending grilling by the bosses.

It was when he came to complete weakness that he broke down in a bus and cried. He cried to God for help and admitted his own inability to have victory over the situation.

After his humble admission for help, God delivered him big time. Not only was he not reprimanded in his work, he was given an opportunity to serve in a national level project. He did so well that he was awarded one of the best Chinese teachers in Singapore.

Tian Long was also featured in the front page of the National Chinese Newspaper!

So, it was with this heartfelt gratitude to God that he, with Meagan and Lihong, presented this powerful song about prayer.

May it touched your heart as it has touched ours!

Pastor Jeff, this is a very touching song indeed as it has blessed me for quite some time. Here's the lyrics for everyone (Did some minor changes though...):

祷告
Pray
For I am minute
祷告
Pray
For I know I need To know
Understanding
That Your desire matters more to me

祷告
Pray
I can't pretend no more
祷告
Pray
For it is Your love that I need
Your care
Every path I've been, You've been there before

Some things I can only tell you
For you love me more than anyone else
Tears of pain flow from my eyes
I know You will wipe them for me

In the morning I will want to tell You
Lord Jesus, I will live for you today
The strength that I need, You grant me daily
Your grace is more than enough for me

Be blessed once again.

After Tian Long gave his testimony that Sunday, I remember asking my friend sitting next to me: "So, you still want to be a teacher?"

I agree God will help us, teacher or not. But I guess God will have to help teachers more :) So, for God's sake (no pun intended), try not to be a teacher. Be a pastor better :)

haha, actually being a pastor is stressful too. Key is for us to learn to look to God and to entrust our lives and challenges to Him.

Hi Chye Lin, this is a song by the band call stream of praise. If I am not wrong, it is a Taiwan worship team. Think they were here in Singapore just a few weeks ago.

Hi Ps. Jeff, wonderful to post it on Youtube!! :)

It would be even greater if we can just insert the lyrics (in Mandarin with English translation at the same time, like during the service) and post Video Number Two on Youtube. This would reach out to even more people and be even more touching, extending KOG. Otherwise, without the lyrics + translation, after a while, we are "lost" except for people with excellent Mandarin. This "loses" a lot of potential audiences.

This song is touching, but the guy's pitch is terrible. He needs more practice.
