Ear Candling

During the recent conference in Kuala Lumpur, I also tried Ear Candling for the very first time.

One of my friends had shared her pleasant experience of ear candling to Claudia and I before. We had wanted to try but just did not take the time to do so. Moreover, as I can recall, it isn’t cheap as well.

Anyhow, while we were in Kuala Lumpur, we came across this pretty nice shop that does ear candling for around 38 Malaysian Ringgit. Some of the pastoral leaders and I tried it for the first time.

It was indeed very relaxing. This treatment (not sure if that is the technically correct term to use or not) relaxes the body, reliefs headache, cures sinuses & insomnias as well as clears up your ears.

The not so nice thing for me is that the person was careless and allowed some wax to fall on my face! I do not think this is part of the package but it was probably given free to me!

hehe! anyway the wax was a product of Ps Jeff while in the ear (any "Made by Ps Jeff's" label on it)? hehe. U didnt think of it as that dirty until the "wax" was expose to "light" rite? A word of caution, next time remember to keep the mouth closed while ear waxing. In case, it drop in the mouth next time...

refering to your choco blog...there is a quote.
“If you are not feeling well, if you have not slept, chocolate will revive you.” by Marquise de Sevigne, February 11, 1677

(not sure if it is true?)
maybe you can share the remaining stock of choco to your office staff or CG or "sell/donate" away?haha. there a saying: God if you won't make me slimmer/fitter, please make my friends fat!!! ;P

Hi anonymous, yes the wax was indeed gross! I will keep my mouth close the next time :)

Thanks for the tip on chocolates and for making my friends fat. If they get fatter, I will look slimmer beside them. Good insight!

Hi pastor, thanks for introducing the Ear candling thing. Didn't really know what/how it's done.
hmm, found some potential danger findings/debates on it. The gross stuff actually came fr the candle?

Hey pastor Jeff, have not seen you for a while. where have you been? We miss your preaching!

BTW, the ear candling here in Sin costs about S$38 but I was fortunate I did not have wax dripped onto my face! bet it was painful! Ouch......

yeah, good that you went together with the other pastoral leaders and you all went to a "proper" ear-candling place.

Because many of such places and massage parlours can cause men to have thoughts of temptation and are not good.

Or maybe Hope should have a marriage enrichment course for wives and husbands to learn massage and ear-candling for the sake of doing for each other, then men won't be tempted when being "handled" by other women during massage/candling

hihi, you are so right indeed. We need to be careful.

I only use male therapist for massage. And I do not go to the those questionable massage places.
